In today’s rapidly evolving global landscape, organisations and governments alike are grappling with unprecedented challenges brought about by technological disruptions, geopolitical shifts, and changing socio-economic dynamics. These transformations are compelling both policymakers and businesses to rethink traditional approaches to strategic management and governance. In this context, the Conference on Policy Making and Strategic Planning for achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047 emerges as a timely and significant initiative. Organised by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Jammu, in collaboration with Strategic Management Forum (SMF), and the NITI Aayog, the conference will be held on November 20–22, 2025, at IIM Jammu’s Jagti Campus. This three-day event aims to provide a vibrant platform for academicians, policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and practitioners to engage in meaningful dialogue on how strategic management, decentralised governance, and participatory policymaking can collectively contribute to India’s Vision@2047. The overarching theme, “Dynamic Navigation: Unlocking Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Changing Global Scenario,” reflects the need for innovative, adaptive, and entrepreneurial approaches to thrive in an era defined by volatility and complexity.
Discussions will span across critical areas such as competitive strategies that balance economic growth with social value creation, corporate and global strategies for multi-business and multinational enterprises, public-private partnerships, and governance frameworks that address sustainability, human capital development, livelihood resilience, and ESG imperatives.
The program will feature research presentations, expert panels, and collaborative discussions, alongside a Pre-Conference Workshop designed to train young scholars, policymakers, build capacity and provide hands-on exposure to advanced tools, techniques, and frameworks in strategic decision-making, decentralised planning, and policy innovation. With its unique blend of academic rigour, policy relevance, and practical insights, the conference promises to generate actionable recommendations for both regional and national stakeholders. By fostering interdisciplinary exchange, it will not only contribute to shaping the future of Jammu & Kashmir but also advance the global discourse on strategy, entrepreneurship, and governance in uncertain times. Ultimately, the deliberations will strengthen India’s journey towards Vision@2047, ensuring a future where strategic foresight, innovation, and inclusivity drive sustainable development.
