Dr. Asis Kumar Sahu is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance and Accounting at Indian Institute of Management Jammu. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from BITS Pilani. Dr. Sahu holds an M.Phil. and M.Com. from Berhampur University and is a UGC-NET (JRF) qualified scholar in Commerce. He also qualified CMA Inter from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). Prior to joining IIM Jammu, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Birla Global University, Bhubaneshwar.
Dr. Sahu research interests include financial economics, financial markets, market microstructure, behavioral finance, corporate finance, and sustainable finance, with a growing focus on AI-driven financial analytics using advanced tools such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs). He has published more than nine research papers in reputed international journals, including several ABDC-A and Scopus Q1 indexed journals, along with a Scopus-indexed book chapter. His work has appeared in leading journals such as Finance Research Letters, International Review of Finance, China Accounting and Finance Review, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Management Decision, International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, and Social Responsibility Journal.
Dr. Sahu has also presented his research at prestigious national and international conferences, including the World Finance Conference, India Finance Conference, and the International Conference on Global Sustainable Innovation.
Dr. Sahu’s teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Behavioral Finance, Cost and Management Accounting, and Financial Accounting.
